JUKE EMPIRE

MUSIC PRODUCTION / SONGS / FILM MUSIC

NINA and Radio Wolf created JUKE EMPIRE as an independent Music Production, Songwriting, and Film Music force; creating genre-defying music to ignite the imagination.

As a duo act, their retro-futuristic electronic rock ‘n’ roll atmospherically fuses Radio Wolf’s lush synth rises, cinematic sound design and emotive guitar inflections with the haunting shimmers of NINA’s voice.

Their mutual love of cinema and the visual arts inspires them to dream up sonic worlds that are designed for visual narratives with both artists having created music for original film soundtracks.

NINA

VOCALS

NINA aka Nina Blair is a singer-songwriter who’s music has taken her global with her Pop, Synth, and Electronic Rock sound, while being praised by critics and embraced significantly by Synthwave and Retrowave aficionados. Early in her career, her fans gave her the affectionate nickname “The Queen Of Synthwave”, while more recently, her collaboration with Radio Wolf was hailed by WONDERLand Magazine as “…masterful…”.

In 2019, she was featured and interviewed in the synthwave documentary ‘THE RISE OF THE SYNTHS’, narrated by legendary film director and composer JOHN CARPENTER.

NINA’s performance of the song 'I’LL WAIT' was created and recorded specially for the Horror film 'THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS VAMPIRES' and was a unique collaboration with the film’s Director Logan Thomas, who also wrote the song. NINA later re-recorded the track with a more gothic, New Wave, Electronic Rock sound than the previous version, which was inspired and Produced by Radio Wolf.

Her album 'CONTROL' features samples from the Cliff Martinez 'DRIVE' film score (released by Lakeshore Records).

RADIO WOLF

Instruments / PRODUCTION / MIXING

RADIO WOLF aka Oliver Blair is an electronic music artist, composer, songwriter and record producer. His trademark sound is a retro-futuristic fusion of electronic music and rock n roll, resonant with romantic spirit. A visual arts background inspires him to imbue his music with a “cinematic” quality.

Online Music Magazine WOLF IN A SUIT called his debut EP “…one unique and refreshing sound that is both retro and modern…”.

In 2019, award-winning VFX artist Eric Demeusy (Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, TRON: Legacy) asked RADIO WOLF to create the original pop soundtrack for his debut feature film PROXIMITY. In collaboration with Synth-pop band PARALLELS, he composed, produced, and recorded seven original songs for the film, scoring to picture. The soundtrack was released by LAKESHORE RECORDS.

His instrumental EP, NIGHT LIGHT, invokes what he calls, “Cinema of the mind”. The album was conceptualised and recorded in exclusively nocturnal work sessions while living in different parts of the world.

RADIO WOLF’s collaboration with NINA is a bold new venture; crafting songs and instrumentals which resonate with dark romantic spirit—invoking visions of uncanny, nocturnal dreamscapes for the wild at heart.
